As main mountain man from Fernie Alpine Resort, Robin Siggers, suggests in this recent photo posted on Facebook: “Seriously! We are not making this stuff up! Epic Snow, Epic Views: January was a great month for snowfall and has meant that ski conditions at Fernie Alpine Resort in February have been fantastic! Since the Polar Peak Chairlift officially opened in January, the resort has made a concerted effort to get the lift running as many days as possible. With the recent blue-sky days , the views from the top of Polar Peak have been outstanding. Definitely something to put on your MUST DO list when in Fernie.

For those of you who have been checking out our webcam or Fernie Alpine Resorts's webcams, you will notice that there is still lots of snow on the trails up here at the resort. But hikers & bikers don't despair! The Morrisey Ridge side of the valley has been receiving much more direct sunshine and several of the trails are snow-free and rideable.
